Had a stroll around the streets between Essex Road in Islington and the Regents Canal recently. I came across the Rheidol Rooms, a cafe on the corner of Rheidol Terrace and St. Peters Street. It was about 11 O'clock, the dead time between the builders breakfast time and the lunchtime crowd. I went in and found a lovely old fashioned cafe with Formica tables and wooden chairs. I ordered at the counter.
The proprietor was sitting on a stool behind the counter reading the Mirror waiting for the impending rush. The waitress busied herself wiping down the windows and tidying up an already spotless place. Two police horses passed by outside, and I noticed a plate commemorating Italy's 2006 World Cup win above the counter.
I had a quick look at the menu and noticed, unusually, runner beans on the menu. I wonder do they grow them themselves. The bacon roll and cup of tea were as good as they can be.

THE BEGINNING
This is a picture of some Ham, Egg, and Chips I had a while ago in Arthur's Cafe on Kingsland Road a while ago. It was taken on my old phone which I lost in Stoke Newington.
