ON THE BANKS OF THE GUADALMEDINA

Last weekend I went to Malaga on a little break. I took a bit of time to go and see the Centro de Arte Contemporaneo. It is housed in an old wholesale market building designed by Luis Gutiererrez Soto in 1927. It was closed as a market in 1983 and reopened in it's present incarnation in 2003.
There were some very interesting photographs by Erwin Olaf and some works by Pascale Tayou Marthine. I was not familiar with either of these artists but enjoyed their work.
